Signing up for your Accelerated Leader Survey

Accelerated Leader has been designed to support individual school leaders and whole leadership teams.

The programme invites the participant to select a number of managers, peers and staff to evaluate their leadership strengths, across those leadership competencies relevant to the areas of leadership that are considered important to a successful school.

By combining these results with the reflections of the participant, a report is generated that clearly maps out the strengths of the individual leader.

Whilst the report also highlights areas where natural strength may not be present, these areas are not necessarily the primary foci. Extensive research in the field of leadership effectiveness has shown that outstanding leaders display strength in four or five out of sixteen leadership competencies. By focussing on these strengths and improving them further, and by moving weaknesses to just an average capability it has been found that an outstanding leader is born.

When the report is combined with the two hour group workshop and one to one coaching session for each participant, a picture is created for the participant, which allows them to understand where their natural leadership strengths lie and how to go about developing these areas into outstanding capability. This coaching session also highlights where any weaknesses may exist that could potentially de-rail the strengths of the individual, and helps the individual understand how to go about moving those weaknesses to the average capability, thereby mitigating their impact upon their natural strengths.

The Learning Partnership has worked in collaboration with schools on the development of this programme, and has developed a comprehensive range of resources and development tools to aid schools in designing their leadership and development journey and support individual leaders in realising their action plan following the production and evaluation of their report.
